Brand listing criteria

We list a clothing brand only if it meets all four of these:

1. The products we list are made mostly from natural fibers such as cotton, linen, hemp, wool or silk. There’s no polyester, nylon or acrylic in the main fabric, and any stretch fiber is disclosed.
2. Product pages give every fiber and its percentage.
3. Nothing is treated with a PFAS water- or stain-repellent finish.
4. Any certification the brand claims, such as OEKO-TEX Standard 100, GOTS or bluesign, can be looked up.

We recheck each listing at least once a year and show the date on the brand’s page. A brand that sponsors the site is held to the same rules as everyone else.
